Kathy Scott

Yoga teacher and yoga student, Kathy Scott is a creative hunter-gatherer who  has worked and played with a host of artists, collectives, producers and practitioners to make cultural experiences happen. She is passionate about making creative projects that resonate and inspire people.

She has been practicing and teaching yoga for over 15 years. She has trained in the Sivananda and Anusara yoga systems and continues to explore other traditions and approaches as her practice evolves.

She is deeply influenced by the teachings of Elena Brower, Rod Stryker, Thomas Hubl, Seane Corn, Sally Kempton, Kia Miller, Tara Brach, James Higgins and many more luminaries on and off the mat.

She is behind many creative art projects in Ireland including The Yoga Salon, the ireland : iceland project, The Trailblazery and The Wonderlust Stage at Body & Soul. She teaches regular Yoga & Mindfulness classes at The Yoga Room and at The Fringe Lab, Temple Bar in Dublin City Centre. She has hosted yoga classes at The Abbey Theatre, Galway Arts Festival The Spiegeltent and the Icelandic Art Academy. She also teaches in the corporate sector and private one-on-one classes in Dublin.

 

A little about The Yoga Salon:

Kathy Scott & Mari Kennedy founded The Yoga Salon in 2010 as a vehicle for leading yoga workshops in landmark spaces that have a creative & unusual quality. They has led workshops at The Hugh Lane Gallery, The Spiegeltent, The Abbey Theatre, Galway Arts Festival, The Icelandic Academy of the Arts – Reykjavik, Dartmouth Square, Body & Soul Festival and other pop
