What you can expect from your pilates and yoga holiday...

Outstanding food and stylish accommodation...Watch the sun sink into the Pacific as you dine on fresh, delicious, and often organic, Mexican and international cuisine.

See whales breach and plume, just meters away from the shore of miles of deserted beach. Sip the best margaritas of your life, laugh with friends, old and new and then admire the star-filled sky as you wander the path back to your suite to sink into a plush pillow-top bed, lulled to sleep by the sound of the waves breaking on the beach.

All rooms and suites have polished travertine floors and worktops, custom teak furniture, pillow-top beds, luxury organic linens, daily maid service and organic bathroom products.

Yoga and Pilates... Each day one yoga and one pilates session (alternate mornings and afternoons) in the spacious, well equipped and beautiful studio looking onto the beach will restore, energise and uplift mind, body and spirit. And between sessions...

Spend your days...

Relaxing... When not lounging by the pool or napping in a hammock, you can indulge in an on-site aromatherapy massage, walk barefoot on miles of virtually deserted stunning beaches, take a sunset cruise from Cabo Marina,

Exploring... Go horseback riding on the beach, trek the rugged mountains, or have a surf lesson at one of the nearby breaks.

Enjoying the local wildlife... Sit on the beach and watch for dolphins, whales and majestic pelicans as they pass by, or take a local boat trip to get up-close and visit the local sea lion colony on the way home.

Shopping and experiencing the local culture... Forty minutes away is Todos Santos, a cultural oasis, but also a true oasis – a verdant garden of palm groves, mangos, avocados, and papayas.

From superb meals in its stylish restaurants to an afternoon browsing it's many art galleries and boutique shops, Todos Santos is intriguing to its core.

Maximum luxury, Minimum footprint

While indulging in fantastic food and luxury accommodation your conscience can be clear in that Prana del Mar has exemplary eco credentials. The resort uses solar panels as its sole source of power and all waste water is treated on site and then used to irrigate the garden, itself organic. But off the grid in this case definitely doesn't mean 'rustic'!

There are luxury organic products and linens in all the rooms and if you purchase carbon offsets for your flight the resort will credit you that amount towards a spa treatment, surf lesson or excursion. Prana del Mar has been awarded 5 stars by Eco Hotels of The World.

Pilates with Paul McLinden

Paul McLinden

With 30 years in the industry, Paul McLinden (PDTC, Royal Academy of Dance) has helped to shape Pilates into one of the world’s fastest growing exercise methods.

While training at London’s Central Ballet School in 1982, Paul became an apprentice to Alan Herdman, the man credited with bringing Pilates to Europe.  Paul set up some of the UK’s first Pilates mat classes, an exercise method then only familiar to dance professionals.

After a 10-year dance career, sharing stages with ballet’s biggest stars, including Rudolph Nureyev and the Bolshoi’s prima ballerina, Nina Ananiashvili, Paul returned to London to become the first Head of Teacher Training for the Body Control Pilates Association, a world leader in pilates education, and finally to open his current studio Ocean Wave Pilates.

Remaining one of the most recognisable names in the pilates industry, Paul has trained some of most familiar names in the entertainment industry (including Uma Thurman & Hugh Grant) but he is just as skillful and dedicated whoever he is teaching.

Further afield - Magdalena Bay

As an optional extra we can arrange a trip, either by small plane, or by coach (5hrs), to the world famous Magdalena Bay.

Each winter, Gray whales, Blue Whales and Humpback Whales migrate 10,000 km south from their arctic feeding grounds, to breed and rear their young in Baja's sheltered lagoons.

By mid-February the shallow lagoon of Magdalena Bay has become a sanctuary for nursing gray whales and their newly born calves, and the gray whale watching here is the best in the world.

Gray whales are curious, friendly animals and will regularly swim up to the small boats for a head rub! Breaching, spy-hopping and fluking, the whales will captivate your attention with their behaviour.

Experiencing these amazing animals up close and in such large numbers is truly one of the most incredible wildlife encounters on the planet and an experience not to be missed! As well as whales, the lagoon is home to dolphins, sea lions, pelicans, and thousands of shorebirds.
