YOGA IMMERSION: For the love of practice. Week-long immersive retreat with Sarah Williams

This immersion will gather together like-minded students of yoga who will bring their own wealth of knowledge to create a unique and welcoming community for the week. Classes and workshops will be designed for experienced practitioners and teachers and are an opportunity to expand your understanding of asana, philosophy and meditation in practical accessible ways relevant to the day to day.

“Sarah’s meticulous, attentive and compassionate classes have enabled me to truly explore yoga, diving deeper into the subtle aspects of the practice. Her knowledge and passion are simply inspiring and she has immensely helped my confidence as a teacher and for that I can’t thank her enough.”  Lucy O'Toole

Through a combination of practice and workshops this immersion provides the space to discuss, experiment, implement and connect with greater depth than most yoga holidays and drop in classes. Workshop themes will include:

  • Asana Labs focused on deconstructing familiar postures, transitions and alignment cues to focus on skilful ways to practice

  • How to use self assists in your own practice and teaching

  • What does it mean to live your yoga?

  • How do you maintain and nourish your self-practice?

  • The art of active rest

Using specific asana and meditative practices as a vehicle to regulate the nervous system, move away from asana as a goal orientated practice and using the body as the ultimate feedback tool you will work to anchor yourself in the present moment.

As teachers and students of yoga we often overlook the necessity to take time to immerse ourselves in the teaching of yoga.  During this special retreat you will experience daily asana, meditation and restorative practices fused with workshops and discussions providing tools to maintain a rich and fulfilling practice of compassionate self-inquiry.

There is plenty of time between classes for quiet meditation, reflection, journaling and discussion in the beautiful setting of Tigmi. As well as time to relax or explore the surrounding area, or even just the pool!

Participants will have a TT certification or a regular practice for at least 2 years. This retreat will also provide 30 hrs CPD points with YA USA.
