Charlotte Watts

Charlotte attended her first yoga class in Brighton in 1996 and immediately knew that it would be a large part of the route to overcoming her long-term illness and recognising that she was exhausted by constant brain chattering and feeling disconnected from her body. Jim Tarran was her main teacher right from the start, culminating in advanced 500 hour (Yoga Alliance UK certified) training with him at the Vajrasati School of Yoga, followed by extra training for ME and Chronic Fatigue Syndrome with Fiona Agombar.

Charlotte is also a Nutritional Therapist with over ten years’ experience, lectures at the College of Naturopathic Medicine and is author of The De-Stress Diet, as well as writing regularly in the national press on yoga, nutrition and all things health. An emphasis on breath, mindfulness and enjoying the present moment is a key part of her yoga practise, teaching, nutritional work and writing.  She thoroughly enjoys helping people find their best and most enjoyable health through connection with their bodies, nature and an easy attitude to life.

As Charlotte specialises in stress-related problems, she finds that yoga’s focus on calming and working with the nervous system within both strong and relaxing postures perfectly complements her therapy work. With a dedicated exploration into how the specific demands of 21st century affect us, she teaches yoga classes and workshops in Brighton, London and Bath that recognise that we need opening, adaptation, release and ease in the face of demanding lives.
