Accommodation... a beautifully converted traditional farmstead in a stunning location high in the rolling Andalucían hills surrounded by century old olive trees and umbrella pine forest.
All rooms have en-suite bathrooms, private balconies and mountain views

Peace and tranquillity... amongst abundant birdlife and wildflowers, with impressive views of The Sierra Nevada in the distance

Delicious freshly prepared daily menu... using a selection of seasonal local produce to create a wide variety of mouth-watering dishes

Yoga... Deep, blissful invigorating yoga (two sessions a day) in the beautiful daylight studio or the light-dappled patio

Enjoy... A stunning infinity pool, wood burning sauna lodge, and 5 acres of woodland/olive groves

Your typical day:

Early morning: a light self-service breakfast to provide energy on waking

Morning yoga and meditation: opening and waking postures and reflection in the light airy yoga shala

After morning yoga: enjoy a delicious, wholesome and plentiful brunch inspired by Charlotte’s breakfast choices in The De-Stress Diet to encourage good energy, mood, recovery and freedom from cravings

Following a long leisurely brunch: your time is your own to do as you please. Trek the countless nature trails on horseback or foot, through olive groves, wheat fields and pine forests. Alternatively, stay poolside and let nature come to you - watch numerous birdlife swoop down to bathe in the cascade amongst the banana and palm trees or treat yourself to an on-site massage

Three days of the week: option of a silent group walk after brunch

Alternatively explore further afield: The friendly village of Montefrio, with it's striking setting, officially declared a Town of Historical and Artistic Interest in 1982, is only a 15 min drive away. And Granada and its world famous UNESCO World Heritage Site, The Alhambra Palace (often referred to as ‘The eighth wonder of the world’) are less than an hours drive

Three days of the break: half an hour before afternoon yoga you have the option to attend a nutrition talk with Charlotte, each on a different topic and illustrating themes within her book The De-Stress Diet and the basis behind your food choices for the break

In the late afternoon: we get together again for yoga asana, meditation and mantra before enjoying an outstanding vegetarian dinner

Two yoga classes as above will be taught every day except Wednesday 13th August, which afternoon will be left free for you to explore the delights of Andalucía, take a ‘tapas route’ pony trek, an evening moonlit ride, or just leave free to kick back and relax by the pool. There will be an optional late-night meditation on this day though.

Price is per person based on 2 people sharing a twin/double and includes all food, yoga tuition and optional nutrition talks. A limited number of single supplements are available at £150.

Charlotte Watts

Charlotte has been practising yoga since 1996 and teaching since 2006 after training with Jim Tarran at the Vajrasati School of Yoga to advanced 500 hour level (Yoga Alliance UK certified).

Charlotte is also a Nutritional Therapist with over ten years’ experience and is author of The De-Stress Diet, as well as writing regularly in the national press on yoga, nutrition and all things health.

A specialism in stress and an emphasis on breath, mindfulness and enjoying the present moment are key parts of her yoga practise, teaching, nutritional work and writing.  She thoroughly enjoys helping people find their best and most enjoyable health through connection with their bodies, nature and an easy attitude to life.
