Yoga, surf and golden beaches: a transformational retreat with Jim Tarran and Khadine Morcom

Yoga sun and surf holiday with a picture postcard tropical beachfront setting.

"Jim and Khadine are wonderful yoga teachers - they challenge and have fun plus give space for some important restorative moments."

The perfect combination of holiday and yoga retreat on the most beautiful beach in the whole of Sri Lanka. Daily yoga with two of the UK’s best teachers plus the chance to learn to surf in perfect conditions, see elephants in the wild and go whale-watching at one of the worlds top spots make this a yoga holiday not to be missed!

Deeply relaxing, subtly strengthening and disarmingly powerful, Jim and Khadine's combined skills leave a lasting effect. They will teach alternate classes during the retreat with each assisting the other, allowing for personal attention to everyone. They follow a classical style of yoga and classes will focus on asana (postures) alongside meditation, pranayama (breathing practices), and deep relaxation. Their classes are warm and friendly with lots of laughs along the way, and both teachers are extremely adept at working with all levels of experience, from complete beginners through to advanced yogis.

There will be two yoga classes each day of the holiday except for the 14th when there will be a day off for those who want to explore further afield, perhaps you'd like to do a day safari at Yala or Udawalawe national park or go whale-watching? There are world-class whale-watching opportunities only 40 minutes along the coast from where we will be and we will be there in peak whale-watching season.

There is plenty of time between classes to relax, explore the beach, visit a local Buddhist temple or even learn to surf. One-to-one surf lessons are available at $50 USD for an hour and a half.
