One of London’s leading yoga teachers, Anna’s teaching benefits beginners and senior yogis alike.
Anna is an exceptional teacher with over two decades of teaching experience. Her accessible and methodical approach incorporates precise instruction for healthy alignment and intelligent sequencing with the deeper teachings of yoga in a modern context.
Practising and studying yoga for over 25 years and teaching since 1999, Anna holds the highest level of certification by the Yoga Alliance Professionals - Senior Yoga Teacher (SYT) and Yoga Alliance (US) E-RYT-500.
Her experience combines in-depth training in established, classical yoga systems that focus on alignment, with a dedicated meditation practice that developed while she lived for 12 years in a yoga ashram in upstate New York. She is a founder and senior faculty member of the triyoga™ teacher training programme, one of the most comprehensive and rigorous training programmes in Europe.
Anna’s classes and retreats incorporate pranayama practises and meditation as well as tradition asana practice in an open and friendly environment. Her teaching focuses on precise alignment and intelligent sequencing with an appreciation for flowing artful movement.
She also spotlights restorative yoga, a style of yoga that is passive, introspective and breath oriented where the body is supported on bolsters and blankets and still for longer periods of time than in an active class. The purpose of this type of practice is shift the nervous system out of ‘fight or flight’ into a deeply felt relaxation response.
Anna’s teaching style has evolved over the years. She combines her early studies of dance, along with the in-depth training with established, classical yoga systems that focus on alignment, and a dedicated meditation practice that developed while she lived for 12 years in a yoga ashram in upstate New York.
She teaches regular classes across the triyoga London studios, as well as workshops and trainings in the UK and Europe.
