The food available in Goa is second to none. Eugenie will also prepare dinner for us 3 nights of the week’s retreat - a delicious Goan feast- and 4 nights we will eat out at some of the best restaurants in South Goa in order to give you a chance to explore some of the international culinary delights of the area. All dinners out (except drinks) are included in the price of your retreat.
The yoga platform overlooks the beautiful Talpon river; picture perfect and ideal for a sunset kayak trip - you may even spot a bathing water buffalo. Our local beach of Galgibaga is one of the most untouched in all of India and is also where Olive Ridley turtles come to nest from November to April. The nearby town of Chaudi gives you a real taste of Indian life with the colour and bustle of the market, filled with the aroma of spices, flowers and incense. Whilst the popular beaches of Palolem, Patnem and Agonda, with their fabulous restaurants and bars are only a short tuk-tuk drive away.
Pristine beaches, nesting turtles and nature reserves
Whilst it is easy to while away hours by the pool, this retreat is perfectly placed for easy visits to the beach, trips down the river, or guided treks into the jungle. The Western Ghats is one of the most biodiverse habitats on the planet and the stunning scenery is missed by many visitors to Goa.
We will organise optional daily outings to ensure you experience the best of all that South Goa has to offer. The local beach of Galgibag (Turtle beach), where Olive Ridley turtles come to nest and Gordon Ramsey reportedly had one of the best seafood meals of his life in a local beach shack, is one of the most beautiful and pristine in Goa. Talpona, Patnem, Palolem, Rajbag and Agonda are all just a few minutes away in a Tuk Tuk and offer everything from deserted sands to fabulous restaurants and dolphin spotting.
Set in the verdant foothills of the Western Ghats this is a gorgeous location for nature-lovers as the neighbouring wildlife reserves of Netravali and Cotigoa are just 15 minutes away and provide access to stunning primary forest, fabulous mountain views and the biodiverse home of the leopard, sloth bear and even the rare tiger.
