Beautiful landscapes, incredible food, excellent hosts and complete relaxation!
A retreat in rural France is a breath of fresh air, and this fabulous château that has been beautifully restored with chic interiors, gorgeous scented gardens, and the warmest hospitality, provides the perfect base for a deeply joyful and soul-satisfying retreat.
Less than an hour from Toulouse in South-west France, this stunning retreat combines stylish, luxury rooms, fantastic organic food, and a warm and relaxed tranquillity that strips away the stresses of life the minute you arrive. It oozes fuss-free charm and service and you can't help but relax as soon as you step through the gateway.
The air is fresh, the climate is perfect and the pace of life is slow. Set in a picturesque corner of Gascony overlooking the Orbe valley, unchanged for centuries, with the Medieval towns of Fleurance and Mauvezin, both just a 15-minute drive away, this is rural France at it’s prettiest. A sublimely beautiful landscape of rolling hills, timeless stone-built houses and fields of sunflowers fields lay the ground for a quietly spectacular retreat destination.

Nourishing, delicious meals freshly prepared by in-house chefs
Our hosts are passionate that the quality of our nutrition affects the quality of our lives and source only the freshest, seasonal, locally sourced, organic produce for their kitchen. Fabulously talented in-house chefs prepare a delicious breakfast, lunch and dinner daily and ensure that there is always fruit and nuts as well as tea and coffee to help yourself to throughout the day.
There is an excellent choice of wine available at very reasonable prices for those who enjoy a glass or two with dinner.
Relax by the pool, wander the gardens or indulge in a wonderful massage
As well as yoga with one of the UK's top teachers in the fully equipped, bright and spacious yoga barn, there is plenty of time and space to enjoy this fabulous destination.
Soak up the sun and socialise on the terrace or around the pool or wander through the delightful gardens to the secluded 17th-century pigeonnier, a pretty stone pergola with lovely views across the valley, perfect for meditation, self-practice or just a moment of quiet reflection. Discover a hidden hammock to enjoy your book or take a drive or taxi to one of the pretty local towns and villages.
An undiscovered gem waiting to be explored
Not yet a regular on the tourist trail Gers is reminiscent of Tuscany with medieval villages clinging to rocky outcrops among rolling hills. Like Tuscany, gastronomy is high on the agenda in Gers and the constant stream of village fêtes through summer are a great way to sample local delights. Likewise, the weekly markets of the bigger local towns are a hive of social activity with farmers, local villagers and visitors congregating to sample local produce and catch up in a local bar.
The village of Monfort is only a short walk away for coffee, a boulangerie and a restaurant, and the wider region is a rural idyll waiting to be discovered with medieval towns perched on rocky outcrops between green rolling hills.
